Ridolaina summer camp centre is housed in a
nineteenth-century country house, Cal Piltre, where two activities were
formerly conducted: farming and tile-making.
Â
The site was abandoned for many years until, in 1994,
it was restored and converted into a hostel and summer camp site. The
establishment is located in the Ridolaina Valley, within the area of influence
of the CadÃ-Moixeró Natural Park, in a magnificent natural setting with a huge
diversity of landscapes and environments rich in geological, botanical and
wildlife heritage.
Â
Visitors will also observe that this valley was
highly humanised in the past. We are very close to Bellver de
Cerdanya (medieval old town, Romanesque Church of Santa Maria de Talló and
so on). We can also visit Puigcerdà (Schierbeck Park and lake, belfry of the
Church of Santa Maria...), LlÃvia (castle and seventeenth-century pharmacy), La
Seu d'Urgell (the only Romanesque cathedral in Catalonia) and many other
interesting towns and villages, as well as beautiful landscapes.Â
